The Environment Committee oversees any work to do with the built environment, open spaces, planning and heritage. This is the committee that looks at ways to improve the appearance of our parish – anything from hanging baskets to litterpicking, potholes to bus shelters. It also is involved in the natural environment and local heritage issues such as developments in the World Heritage Site and Rights of Way. It has an educational role and organises public events and one off projects with an environmental theme.
