The English word 'tomato' comes from the Aztec word, tomatl. They were harvested by the Aztecs and Incas as early as 700 AD.

Allotments

Madeley Parish Council is responsible for two allotment sites providing allotment garden plots for parish residents. If you would like to become a tenant you can enjoy the following benefits:

The rents provide really good value for money, with concessions for anyone in receipt of State Retirement Pension.
